The SAT
The SAT is
the test used by most colleges to help decide whether to admit
students or not (along with GPA, transcript, recommendations,
etc.). Not all schools require the SAT, but the great majority
do.

Is It Scored?
There are
3 sections: Critical Reading, Math, and Writing. Each section
is scored from 200 to 800. The lowest score you can get on the
SAT is a 600; the highest score is a 2400.

many math questions are on the SAT?
54 Math questions
on the SAT. 44, multiple-choice, problem solving questions and
10, student produced grid-in questions.
What

Basic Arithmetic,
Algebra 1 &II, and Geometry.

You get 200 points for signing your name and each question you

questions on the SAT. You'll have three sections; 1, 25-minute
section, 1, 10-minute section, and 1, 25 minute essay.

type of writing questions are on the SAT?
3 question
types: Identifying Sentence Errors, Improving Sentences, and Improving
Paragraphs. These questions test you on your grammar, word choice,
and usage. You'll have 25 minutes to write an essay.
How
is it scored?
Your essay
grade and your performance on the multiple choice section are
combined to create one score between 200-800 points.
