and development of all students where disagreements can be discussed
and resolved in a manner befitting an institution.
Therefore, Evergreen Academy has established a specific policy
to resolve student complaints and grievances.
A student
who has a complaint is responsible for following the procedures
described below. Complaints may concern inappropriate instructor
conduct (including inappropriate course materials), incompetence
in oral communication and inequities in assignments.
Evergreen
Academy Policies
1)
Academic Freedom
This includes
the protection of the opportunity for the teacher to teach, and
for the teacher and the student to study, without coercion, censorship,
or other forms of restrictive interference. Academic freedom encourages
the flow of ideas with the recognition that freedom to teach and
freedom to learn imply both rights and responsibilities within
the framework of the law and Evergreen Academy¡¯s policies
and curricular objectives.
Instructors,
staffs and students of Evergreen Academy shall be free from censorship
and discipline when speaking or writing. However, the special
position of instructors imposes special obligations. Instructors
and staffs as representatives of Evergreen Academy should be accurate,
objective, exercise appropriate restraint, encourage a spirit
of initial respect for the opinion of others, and ensure the relevancy
of subject matter to their instructional areas.
2)
Instructor Responsibility
Evergreen
Academy has developed an institutional for instructor participation
in the development of curricula, academic planning, and the enforcement
of academic quality.
The instructor
has responsibility to set, supervise, and enforce the standards
of academic quality
that are both necessary and sufficient to maintain the integrity
of Evergreen Academy.
The instructor
and the administration staff shall have collective responsibility
for academic planning and for carrying out the mission of the
institution, for maintaining the focus of the institutional purpose,
and for the accomplishment of institutional academic standards.
3)
Registration for Classes
Students register
on each month to maintain their active status at Evergreen Academy.
Students are required to register for classes before 5th day of
each month.
Once the student has registered for the class, the only way to
get the full refund is to drop or withdraw the class before 7th
day of each month.

paid by the student will be fully refunded if the student chooses
not to enroll in or to
withdraw from the school within 7 calendar days after having signed
the enrollment agreement.
1) If the
student chooses not to enroll after the 7-day cancellation period,
but before the first day of instruction, the registration or enrollment
fee will be retained by the school.
2) If, after
the 7-day cancellation period, a student withdraws or is terminated
after the instruction begins, refunds will be made by prorating
the paid tuition.
3) If the
school closes, cancels or discontinues a course or program, the
school will refund to each currently enrolled student all monies
paid by the student for tuition and fees and all monies for which
the student is liable for tuition and fees.
4) All refunds
due will be paid within 30 days of the student¡¯s last day
of attendance
4)

recommended that the student notify
the Business Office located in the school, in writing as soon
as possible to begin the process to withdraw from the school.
If the student withdraws, the school will determine if any tuition
must be refunded based on the regular tuition rate.
Students who fail to register for the session are withdrawn from
the School.
5)
Leave of Absence- F1 Status
The following
are valid reasons for which you may request a leave of absence
and at the same time maintain your F-1 nonimmigrant student status:
- Medical
leave ? A medical leave must be accompanied by a physician¡¯s
letter which supports the request for a leave of absence from
school.
. Going back to your home country due to personal reasons or
family emergency ? A copy of your plane ticket must be submitted
